Use Windows troubleshooter
Your first option is to right-click on the application and select “Troubleshoot”. Allow “Recommended settings” and let the wizard do its work. Try running the game again to see if this fixed things!
Run as administrator
One of the best fixes for this error is to run the game as an administrator. To do this, right-click on your game launcher and select “Run as an administrator” and fire up the game again. See if this fixes things!
Suspend firewall software
There is a chance that your third party or Windows antivirus software may be causing the game to misbehave. Temporarily suspend these services and see if that fixes the problem. If you are not comfortable doing this, you can reach out to your security provider and ask them if the service might be interfering with Crash Bandicoot 4.
Add the game to NVIDIA
In case you use any NVIDIA-made graphics cards or other hardware, there is a way you can fix this issue. Right-click on your desktop and select “NVIDIA Control Panel”. Select “3D Settings” and click on “Add”. Here, select Crash Bandicoot 4. To be safe, you should switch all the settings that appear on this dialog box to “Off”. Try to start the game and see if it fixed things!
Reinstall the game.

Играю на пиратке (не репак). Игра запускается и во время показа лого Activision появляется ошибка. Если нажать “Ок”,то игра вылетает. Если не нажимать, то после всех лого и загрузки – игра вылетает.

Скорей всего игра не работает из-за вашего процессора, а именно нет avx- инструкции.

В общем, ошибка не появилась, но после загрузки игра уходит в черный экран и вылетает. Один раз игра зашла в меню и всё. Повторить этого не получилось.

У меня такая же беда .С таблеткой от EMPRESS, удалось поиграть 4 уровня. С Codex , дальше заставки не пускает.

Found online – Open up Nvidia control panel, and under 3D applications – select or add Crash Bandicoot 4 then under the list of settings that can be changed – enable FPS Limit and set it to your native monitor FPS.

didn’t work for me unfortunately… I’m going to refund the game as I can literally not progress, really sad
I verified files and restart the PC. Ok for me.
Have you tried launching it after it crashed? Happened to me on the very first start up, not the second time around tho.
I don’t know what the problem is, I can’t even boot Crash 4 at all. I tried a bunch of methods and nothing worked.
Almost all Unreal Engine games crash a lot on my PC. I’ve tried a lot of solutions, nothing helped. My first crash in Crash Bandincoot 4 was after 9 minutes of playing. Then after 20-60 minutes. Last thing that i did was run CB4 exe in compatibility with Windows Vista Service Pack 2. And it helped. After that i played more than 5 hours without crashes

Windows Vista lost support 6 years ago, without service pack you had even older version, maybe the original launch one, this one is your fault, expect more and more not working games.

I don’t have Windows Vista, i have Windows 10, i launched game in COMPATIBILITY with Windows Vista. My fault that it helped me?
It also helped me to reduce crashes in Saints Row 2, cuz it crashes a lot too. I wasn’t even able to finish a mission. With that “fix” i can play for hours before crash

You change compatibility mode by accessing the Properties of .exe files
Some users achieve better stability in the game/application by doing this.

I play pirate (not a repack). The game starts and an error appears while showing the Activision logo. If you click “Ok”, then the game crashes. If you do not click, then after all the logos and downloads, the game crashes.

Most likely the game does not work because of your processor, namely there is no avx instruction.
