How do you find a song ID on Newgrounds?
Where do I find the Audio Id for a song in the Audio Portal for crediting purposes? It’s in the mp3 name when you download it and also in the url for the song itself. For example, newgrounds.com/audio/listen/336620 would have the ID of 336620.
How do I submit a song to Newgrounds?
Go to the top of I think ANY page on Newgrounds and click on the little button that says “Submit Content.” Scrool down and click Submit Audio. Pay attention to the rules, they are applied after you make your song.
How do you use Nong songs in geometry dash?
Pick a random ID that can be used (preferably one that syncs as a replacement so you can upload it), then name the mp3 file that, then slap it with all the rest of your downloaded songs. Then just go in and select it like normal.
What is a Nong Song?
This is limiting, so some people replace songs in game files to use other songs that are not hosted on the site. NONG stands for Not On NewGrounds.
Does Newgrounds have an app?
There’s already a Newgrounds Mobile page (http://newgroundsmobile.com/), and if users specifically create an app to be smartphone compatible, it will work there (as I’ve learned from personal experience). But, no ads, so little incentive. I have an Android, and I just bookmarked that page. Yep, 100% free.

Ok, so I am trying to upload a song In Geometry Dash for a level, but I keep getting an error that says: “Failed to fetch song info.” (I’ve attached an image with this post.) So I know that there shouldn’t be a problem, because I double-checked the ID for the song and pasted it in the game. So I don’t know if its a problem with the game, or the song ID, and I don’t know who t o contact. Any help on this?

So it’s not a game on NG? You’d probably be better off contacting the developer of the game then. I’d guess that they fetch the music via the API, and that there’s something wrong with the connection between the app and this site, maybe temporary, but either way they should know about it. It’d be in their best interest to solve it. 😉

Regardless of Geometry Dash, it amazes me that there are users who think that uploading someone else’s work is absolutely fine, despite all other content on this site is made by the individuals submitting it.

So yeah, this is pretty old now. Sorry for bumping, but I’m having the same issue with my own song I made and uploaded to newgrounds a while back. I am the original composer, still it won’t fetch the song info in Geometry Dash. I find this very strange, since on multiple occasions songs WHICH ARE NOT MADE BY THE UPLOADERS have been usable in Geometry Dash. Are there any settings or something I have to enable or disable? Thanks

No, there are no settings. You have to wait to be scouted in order for your music to be usable in Geometry Dash. You can not ask to be scouted, you have to wait until someone determines your audio is enough quality to be scouted into the audio portal.
Also, those older songs have been mostly removed for violating original content rules.

According to the Newgrounds FAQ, only music from scouted users can be used in Geometry Dash. For example, F-777 is scouted. ForeverBound is scouted. I guess the person who made http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/100727 isn’t scouted…

Yes. Until you are scouted, your work can only be accessed via your userpage. (or other ways that only scouted users can access)

Самый простой способ сделать это — спросить в комментариях — работает, к сожалению, не всегда. Ниже будет рассказано о других, более действенных вариантах найти понравившуюся песню.
1. Запускаем браузер (подойдёт любой), переходим на сайт https://www.newgrounds.com/audio, выбираем понравившуюся композицию из списка.
2. Переходим к этой композиции, копируем ссылку * Пример ссылки: https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/925156 *
Теперь нам нужно получить ID композиции, для этого нужно:
• Вставляем ссылку в блокнот (для удобства) • Убираем всё, до последних цифр (после listen/
в ссылке) • Готово! В итоге у нас должен остаться только ID композиции
* Пример того, что должно остаться: 925156

Это будет самый лёгкий этап в нашей работе)
1. Запускаем Geometry Dash 2. Заходим в сетевые уровни 3. Переходим в список своих уровней (не опубликованных) 4. Выбираем наш уровень, в который хотим вставить музыку 5. Нажимаем шестеренку в правом верхнем углу 6. Выбираем «Music» 7. Нас просят вставить ID композиции, мы вставляем 8. Ждём, пока композиция скачается 9. Готово!
