Мэг-самая большая акула в игре, которая представляет собой гигантскую доисторическую акулу – Мегалодона, но меньше. The Meg, also known as the Megalodon, is one of the three bosses in Stranded Deep. It can only be found in a special boss area.
Description
The Meg is the biggest shark in the game, which represents a giant prehistoric shark – Megalodon – but smaller. It has a lot of bruises on its front body, suggesting that it is not an ordinary shark and has been through quite some stuff. It also has an unidentified device on it’s dorsal fin, which can be speculated to be a tracking device (check gallery for more information)
During a fight, it can:
- Inflict bleeding
- Jump out of water and hit the player
- Drag the player around
- Charge into the player
If the player successfully kills it, they will unlock 2 recipes that do not need any crafting materials to craft, but can only be made once: Meg trophy and aircraft rudder part (The player can craft these a second or more times if the boss is re-beat).
Location
It is found randomly in the world and there is only one!
Its special boss area is a dead whale that is being eaten by The Meg itself. While the player cannot know its exact location, it can be found in one of the ??? areas that are shown in the cartographer (example on the left side of the screen).
Strategy
To have maximum chances of surviving and emerging victorious, the player MUST have:
- At least 2 bandages / medical gauze.
- At least 4 food rations / kura fruit / quwawa fruit (food that restores only hunger or thirst will take important inventory space which is important during the fight).
- At least 24 speargun arrows and speargun / At least 20 spears (These 2 options can be mixed and combined for higher efficiency):
– Refined spears for maximum damage (double damage compared to crude spears);
– Crude spears are a cheaper and a bit weaker alternative – they do as much as 1 speargun arrow;
– DO NOT use fishing spears – they have a much lower throwing range and inflict the least damage.
The player’s damage will depend on their hunting skill, which will make easy work of The Meg if at max level.
The key to winning is ALWAYS MOVING, meaning you will need as much space as you can get. The Meg will sometimes jump out of the water and try to grab the player, often inflicting bleeding (use bandages or gauze if this happens). 3×3 – 5×4 rafts are highly recommended. This can be partly prevented by constantly attacking the shark.
Every time the Meg gets attacked, it will receive a speed boost for a short time, which can mean very unpredictable movements and attacks.
Fighting underwater will put the player in a huge disadvantage which will increase the chance of dying by a lot – not recommended. Its movement pattern is similar to other sharks, meaning it can charge at the player and also drag the them, usually inflicting bleeding (use bandages or gauze to stop it);
It is highly recommended to bring shelves with containers on your raft for backup spears, bandages, food and arrows (+fuel if the player uses boat motor on their raft).

- Meg will teleport back to the whale and regenerate all health if the player moves too far away from the main area.

However, Megalodon is regularly found in the ocean. So while traversing the deap ocean, chances are, you could fine this giant creature. So what do you do? For me, i go about with my devices, mostly a speargun which is like one of the deadliest wearpon in the game.
How to find bosses in stranded deep shouldn’t be a problem as long as you are willing to stand and defend yourself to the end. A quick stroll around the ocean with you raft, moves around the Island too can have you finding some of the most deadly creatures you are looking for.
How To Fight and Kill Megalodon
From what we know, megalodon fight is the easiest of them all amongst the bosses. Though we advise you not to get carried away by this as you may be dealt with by the giant. The megalodon has lots of damge stoked with him and may drag you deep down the sea should it has the advantage to do so.
Weapons and Tricks to Fight Megalodon
We would love to sea you using some of the most efficient weapons. What i personally use is the Speargun which is quite massive and durable. Now for the trick, do not get close to the Megalodon as it seems powerful in close distances. That is why we’d ask you to go with the speargun – it is almost the most efficient device in this fight. Ammo is another weapon which does lots of damage as crude spears but stacks up to 24 in the inventory which can equally bring advantages. We mensioned axes – it could help when when your spears are out of arrow and Ammo out of its inventory.

Several weapons like axe to help you go a-top in the fight are equally reccommended. Meanwhile, you should have a tank of water closeby as the fight may go a bit longer than expected. Players should have several bandages, this will help n cases of Megalodon bit which is almost a norm.
The megalodon tries all it can drag the player into the deep water but it left for you to resist every attempt of such with some smart moves. If you run out of arrows or ammo, then the mission should end there except axe is available – then you may have to dive inside the water to finish your mission which is quite risky.
