The Golden Compass is the item needed to obtain the Golden Lure, which is needed to begin Aqua’s Storyline.
You can begin the treasure hunt for the compass as soon as you’re done with Day 1 of School, but completion of the treasure hunt will require access to areas and events that you can only unlock through other paths. How to unlock the areas and events will be detailed in the relevant parts of the walkthrough.

Part 1
Begin this hunt by going to the Pier. Ask Captain Terry what his secret is. He’ll show off his golden lure and agree to part with it… in exchange for the legendary golden compass.
He’ll let you know that perhaps an older resident can help you with the search for the old fisherman that had the compass. The oldest resident in town is Roz, the hospital receptionist.
The easiest way to unlock the hospital is to progress a bit in Mrs. Johnson’s route. You’ll land yourself in the hospital when sticking up for Erik against the bully Dexter, and you’ll have access to the location for the hunt.
Head over to the reception area and ask Roz about ancestry. She’ll ask you to to move some boxes around on the second-floor storage room, but it turns out you’ll be cleaning some pipes out instead. After the deed is done, Roz will give you the obituary records.
Check the records out in your inventory to learn about Ben Dover, the boatsmith. You’ll need to find his tombstone for the next part of the hunt.
Part 2
Now you need to head to the cemetery. There is a crack in the fence near Diane’s garden. Head through it to get to the cemetery. Look at the tombstone on the left-most side to find Ben Dover’s tombstone.
After looking at the grave, you’ll now need to find a large bell in town somewhere. The church has a big bell!
The church is unlocked as part of Mia’s route, or Miss Ross’ class if you progressed far enough. Generally, it’s quicker to go to art class.
Head over to the church and click the door in the upper left corner, taking you to the stairs. Head up the stairs to get to the bell, then inspect it.

You’ll find more engravings on the bell, and notice a tree with a hole in it. This tree can be found in Raven Hill, so head over there and check the big tree on the left side of the screen.
Grab the old scroll, then inspect it in your inventory. You’ll get a picture of a moon, but little else. However, you now have all the clues you need for the next part of this treasure hunt.
Part 3
Now, you’ll have to head to the Forest at night. To unlock the forest, you can either progress in Mrs. Johnson’s path, where you go and find Anna’s dog or Miss Okita’s science class. Finding the dog is very early on in Mrs. Johnson’s storyline, so this is probably the easier one to do.
Anyway, in the evening, head to the forest. Inspect the stone in the middle of the forest to start a puzzle mini-game. You’ll want the stones to match the picture of the moon from the old scroll. You can change what tiles you can use by clicking and dragging the incorrect pieces out of the way, but it’s a bit wonky so you’ll need patience.
After solving the puzzle, you’ll get the old map.
Part 4
Head over to the library and check the bookshelf for the book Derpy Answers. You’ll need this to decipher something later.
Next, head over to the park, and check the fountain. Near the bottom middle of the screen, there’s a coin that looks different from the others. Fish it out, as you’ll also need that to complete this next part.
Finally, you’ll need the Golden Key. This is obtained when you find the robber’s stolen loot. You’ll learn about the loot and find it either in Mrs. Johnson’s route, or Mia’s route. Since doing parts of Mrs. Johnson’s route unlocks locations for the treasure hunt, you might as well continue that path until you talk to Larry in jail to find the loot.
With the preparations complete, head over to the beach, then click on the small island in the distance. Click on the strange statue to begin digging. If you don’t have a shovel, you can grab it in your house’s garage.
You’ve found the treasure! Unfortunately, it’s locked and you need to figure out the combination. In this section, you’ll need to use the coin and decipher the combination with the book… or you can just use the below combination and skip the puzzle.

The combination is Octopus – Mermaid – Octopus – Anchor. Use the key to unlock the chest and the golden compass is finally yours!
Return to the pier and give the compass to Captain Terry. He’ll give you the golden lure, and you can now begin Aqua’s storyline.

Summertime Saga is probably one of the most popular simulation game for mobile game that is not available on the Play Store. With its excellent quality in terms of art style and immersive gameplay mobile gamers from around the world are discovering it organicaly – mostly through word of mouth.

I outlined below the step by step process to completing the Golden Compass storyline:
1. Talk to Erik’s dad at the police station jail.
2. Go to the park and click on the tree behind the fountain where you will find the stolen goods which contains the key. Take key.
3. Click on the fountain and pick up one of the golden/copper coin near the bottom of the screen.
4. Go to the hospital and talk to Roz. Ask about the dead boatsmith and just follow Roz’ instructions. You will receive an old obituary document.
5. Go to Aunt Diane’s garden. You will notice that the wall on the right side of the garden just beside the shed has a part that is somewhat broken. Click on it to get to the graveyard..
6. Click on the left tombstone.
7. Go to the church and click the room upstairs. It will lead you all the way to the top where you will find the bell.
8. At night, go to the forest then click on the rock where the moonlight is shining down.
9. Solve the puzzle by arranging the pieces to make the picture of moonshine (3 rays of light) and a half moon. See picture below.
10. Now that you have the map, you can now go to the beach. On the beach, click on the small deserted island. That is where the treasure is buried.
11. Using the numbers 1513 inscribe on the golden coin you found at the fountain and the old book from the library shelf, input the following combination onto the treasure chest: octopus, mermaid, octopus, anchor.
12. Tap on the keyhole and claim the item inside.
That’s it, you just found the lost treasure. You can now exchange it for the special fishing bait with Captain Terry.
