i got a a problem here.
i flashed my BIOS to the lastest version recently.
When I Try To Go To The BIOS It Becomes Weird. it shows Me an Error Message «This Bin File is Incorrect» On a Blue Background With So Many Mouse Pointers.
Boot Logo Has Stretched Too. I Cant See The Whole MSI Gaming Image. Only Half of The Image.

There is a possible that the BIOS file during update were corrupted. Which way did you try to flash it?
Thru USB? Or thru the software provided by Live Update?
One way or another i think the best way is to head down to Corbell to see what they can do for you.

Hi thanks for helping,
i flash it through live update accidentally as i press update all drivers buttons. i tried to flash it through mflash and dos but it doesn’t help.
Also this happen only when i restart my computer. it doesn’t happened when i do a cold boot after i immediately on the power from the wall socket. i tried with dvi port to another monitor and the bios and boot screen are normal.

In asking this question, I’m not trying to insult you- I just want to make sure you didn’t make a silly mistake. If you did- no big deal we all do that sooner or later.
Are you sure you downloaded the new BIOS and not the same one as before? Because I’ve never heard of this happening, but I guess its possible. If you did flash with a more recent version and still get the same date, it doesn’t necessarily mean you unsuccessfully flashed the chip. Perhaps the BIOS image is incorrect with regards to the time stamp. I think this is unlikely though.
Are you sure you actually flashed the chip? Maybe you should first tell us what version you had and what version you flashed. And then tell us how you did it. step by step.
What exactly do you mean it «refuses»? Do you actually get some sort of message stating this? Did you go into the BIOS and check it out? Many times a BIOS change will actually have a few new items or be different in some way. Of course this isn’t possible if you don’t know what the original BIOS looked like.
Just FYI, it won’t «kill the card». In fact it won’t kill the ROM either. It will make the ROM useless until you successfully flash it, so in a sense it may kill your system because it may not boot with a corrupt BIOS. This is fixable though. You could either:
1. Buy a new BIOS chip (usually
$25.00)
2. Use a PROM programmer (doubt this is feasible unless you know someone with this tool)
3. Try to «Hot swap» with another A7V system in order to use the computer itself as the PROM programmer. This technique is somewhat risky, but works if your careful. In fact any motherboard will work as long as the BIOS socket contains the same number of pins (in theory).

Did you flash in DOS mode? Did you reset the BIOS to it factory default settings BEFORE flashing?

So i Dl AwardFlash latest Flash utility,
DL proper .bin-file(BH32_KK.bin v.1.1)booted the comp. into DOS, loaded the .bin-file into the AwardFlasher, pressed
and the .bin started to Flash into ROM. Now, the progress displays this white-coloured progressbar which indicates that the process goes okey, if it’s green it means that the ROM is not upgraded, and if it’s red, that’s a failure.
Mine shows the white Ok progressbar almost all the way, only two areas at the end of the flashing process shows green colour. So either my EPROM is screwed or the Bios suppliers renamed the «new» .bin-file wrong. Since my ABIT
BH6 board is a 1.1 version and the new Bios is suppose to say: 29/6 1999 instead of the current one, it sucks ’cause i can’t use a harddrive above 8 gig, neither use a PIII 866mhz processor..

I’m still looking for more info. Note that the link refers to an ealier 1998 BIOS version, but this guy had the same thing happen. He recommends downloading from the FTP site not the Web site.

Maybe you should try this one:
It says it supports up to Coppermine 850. so I don’t know. Man this one looks tough. You may have to wait until tomorrow and maybe some of the BH6 users will be able to help ya out better.

Кроме того, если у материннки другой Rev,то bin может не подходить
Парни, я свою проблему порешил.
Не с помощью afudos, правда, с ее секретными ключами типа описанными здесь
У afudos нет ключа /nr, есть /n – нашел на ami.com в файле
afudos /i. /n /pbnc выдал Error: ROM file boot block is not valid.
Кстати, при собственно перешивке слышно было типа шума электрического разряда в области флэшки.
Лично мне так кажется. Что на самом деле слышишь/видишь в области флэшки – не знаю, опишите если есть возможность.
Сам тоже поищу.

Кстати, биос на идентификацию матери Abit AV8 rev1.1 выдает вот что

На смену традиционным системам BIOS в материнских платах пришла современная система UEFI. Интерфейс нового UEFI BIOS теперь напоминает обычное программное приложение и является более удобным за счёт использования удобного визуального интерфейса и возможности использования не только клавиатуры, но и мышки.
В таких материнских платах для обновления BIOS удобнее всего воспользоваться специальной утилитой ASUS EZ Flash 2 уже встроенной в материнскую плату.
Если Ваше устройство ASUS реализовано на более старой версии BIOS (без утилиты ASUS EZ Flash ), то воспользуйтесь инструкцией Как прошить BIOS ASUS (утилита AFUDOS)
Пошаговая инструкция прошивки (обновления) BIOS с помощью ASUS EZ Flash 2 :
Перед прошивкой обязательно нужно позаботиться об электрическом обеспечении устройства. Если во время процесса прошивки система будет обесточена BIOS будет повреждён. Поэтому постарайтесь подключить ПК к источнику бесперебойного питания или зарядите полностью аккумулятор (в случае прошивки ноутбука)
1. Для начала необходимо скачать подходящую версию прошивки BIOS с официального сайта ASUS и сохранить её на внешнем носителе (с которого будет осуществляться прошивка) в разархивированном виде (зачастую с расширением .CAB)
2. Зайти в BIOS. Для этого перезагрузить устройство и при его включении удерживать кнопку DEL (для персональных компьютеров) или F2 (для ноутбуков).
3. Проверив текущую версию BIOS перейти на вкладу дополнительных свойств, нажав кнопку «Advansed mode» (Дополнительно) или кнопку F7.
4. В расширенном режиме BIOS перейти на вкладку «Tool» (Сервис)
5. На сервисной вкладке выбрать утилиту ASUS EZ Flash 2
6. В интерфейсе программы ASUS EZ Flash 2 ещё раз проверить текущую версию BIOS и затем выбрав подготовленный носитель с прошивкой – в левой части экрана. Выбрать в правой части экрана файл новой версии BIOS.
7. Подтвердить согласие на на проверку файла прошивки.
8. После проверки нужно дать согласие на прошивку BIOS.
9. Дождаться окончания процесса прошивки (полоса прогресса процесса отображается снизу).
10. После удачной прошивки BIOS будет выдано сообщение, предлагающее перезагрузку. Согласиться, нажав OK.
11. При первом запуске после прошивки BIOS, система предложит произвести первичную настройку. Необходимо проверить текущую версию BIOS – она должна соответствовать выбранной для прошивки. Нажать F1 и произвести нужную настройку или просто выйти из настроек.
На этом прошивка BIOS материнской платы производства ASUS завершена.

Помогите решить проблему! Проблема следующего характера: неделю назад после включения ПК, по своей глупости, полез втыкать провод от колонок, как случайно задел провод питания, раздался небольшой треск, компьютер выключился и опять включился, после чего 3 раза подряд появлялся логотип БИОСа. Первый длился минуту, второй 3 секунды и третий 1 секунду (перед появлением 3 картинки БИОСа, 2 картинка немного глючит, на ней появляются параллельные радужные черточки) после чего появился черный экран с командной строкой, абсолютно не реагирующий на какие либо команды. При выборе любого загрузочного диска происходит та же самая ситуация. Пробовал сбрасывать БИОС, копировать БИОС2 на БИОС1, менять приоритеты загрузочных дисков, обновлять БИОС посредством ez flash 2, а также выбирал оптимизированны е настройки БИОСа, после которых компьютер включался и выключался, до тех пор пока его не выключишь.
Материнская плата: Asus rampage IV extreme rev 1.02
4 HDD Диска
1 SDD Диск oczssdpx-1rvdx0 100 c операционной системой Windows 10
Прошу не рекомендовать разобрать и собрать компьютер заново, так как он на водяном охлаждении и процесс разборки/сборки будет не из легких. Это самые крайние меры.

Yes, like what royfrosty mention your bios could be corrupted during the update.
If you are familiar with dos flash flashing you may try doing that. Otherwise please bring the board itself to our service center. Thanks.

Mine seems to be different. I use a flat screen monitor and I use a VGA to HDMI converter to connect it to my video card. I still get the error; how do I fix this?

I just left my PC on because I was playing a game and it was on AFK. My step mom turned of the PC without shutting it down properly. After restart there were 2 options, Something that stated “Enter Setup” and another saying “Continue with default settings”
My brother chose the setup setting and there the BIOS options were all messed up. Bios interface was in really low resolution as if it couldn’t fit the screen. And when I hover my mouse to the Settings option an error in blue highlight would appear ” Bin File is incorrect ….”

|f what I did was correct, I think I had already tried clearing the CMOS.
What I did was I removed the CMOS Battery and waited for more or less than 20 minutes before placing it back in. But the error remained the same whenever I went to the BIOS menu

My mobo is Z87-G43 gaming
previously i was using GTX 660,
I have replaced it with R9 270X.
previously the bios was showing normally in full screen, now the bios screen is shown partly.
Also when i try to open settings, this message starts to appear on the screen in blue “The bin file is invalid”.
when i save some settings, it this message starts to multiply on the screen.
The windows runs normally, without any problem.
Please help me fix this issue

Try >>clearing CMOS <<. If no help try connecting vga to another monitor. If not possible how are you connecting your screen and what is it?

I am connecting via HDMI
when i connect via vga than there is no error
the LCD is Pansaonic Viera,
I have another SONY LCD, it connects via HDMI without this error,
when i connect it to LG PLASMA via HDMI, than same error of incorrect bin file
is clearing cmos dangerous option???

Clearing cmos is not dangerous but no need to do it. It’s your Pansaonic Viera screen that is problematic. It’s the reason for the message. Use a dvi to hdmi adapter to connect it to your pc.

but the same error also occours when i connect it to LG Plasma….
once i connected the pc to lcd via dvi to hdmi cable, no result appeared on the screen and i lost that HDMI port on the Panasopnic Viera forever…

It’s TVs and hdmi. Try a dvi to hdmi adapter as already said. If the R9 270X is MSI add the S/N. If no MSI product the issue is not MSI related. It’s the vga, not the board.

No, it’s your sapphire card or the monitors aren’t connected properly. Try reseating the card itself and make sure the TV is properly connected. If no help the problem is with your Sapphire card and not the board.

hamzam7 have you handled your problem yet? I have very simillar problem as yours but for example i don’t see english language in BIOS and insted of this i see asian letters. Sometimes bios just stops, it’s freezes and it shows “The bin file is invalid”. I couldn’t run the system in the first time, but after i entered into the bios and restart pc, luckly i could. I have R9 270x too, but i was working with board with all the same devices for about 2 months and now this problem appeared. It’s really weird…

Как исправить ошибку в биосе
BIOS — базовая система ввода-вывода. Это микропрограмма, которая проводит запуск и опрос комплектующих и начинает загрузку операционной системы. Ошибка в настройках БИОС может привести к тому, что компьютер будет работать нестабильно или вообще не включится. Очень часто так и происходит, причем не всегда понятно, какой именно параметр привел к такому результату. Сразу исправить все ошибки в БИОС можно сбросом настроек.
Инструкция
Откройте BIOS компьютера. Для этого нажмите кнопку питания или перезагрузитесь. Сразу же после звукового сигнала нажмите клавишу DEL. Можете нажать ее несколько раз — современные компьютеры настолько быстро загружаются, что сложно уловить подходящий момент, так что смело жмите, и BIOS откроется. На некоторых моделях материнских плат кнопка входа в настройки БИОС может быть F2, F12 или F10 — эта информация есть в инструкции, а также в нижней строчке экрана при загрузке. Если все сделано правильно, на экране появится меню системной настройки.
Найдите меню сброса настроек на фабричные. Ищите надпись Load fail safe defaults или Load Default settings. Перемещайтесь по категориям меню при помощи стрелок на клавиатуре. Нажмите кнопку Enter, когда найдете подходящий пункт настроек. Этим вы сбросите все изменения, а значит все возможные ошибки БИОС будут исправлены.
Найдите меню Save & Exit и нажмите кнопку Enter. Появится сообщение на английском языке, которое потребует подтвердить изменения. Нажмите Enter или Y, чтобы сохранить изменения. Компьютер выключится и загрузится с новыми «стартовыми» настройками. В процессе запуска может появиться сообщение о том, что необходимо нажать F1 для продолжения загрузки. Нажмите эту клавишу и продолжайте запуск компьютера.
Можно сбросить все настройки BIOS при помощи изъятия батарейки. Это альтернативный способ, который помогает в случаях, когда компьютер не позволяет войти в настройку системы или вообще не загружается. Отсоедините все кабели. Возьмите крестовую отвертку и отвертку с прямым наконечником.
Выкрутите винты с задней панели системного блока. Снимите боковую крышку. Найдите круглую блестящую батарейку размером около полутора сантиметров в диаметре. Гнездо, в котором находится эта батарейка, имеет выступ-замочек. Подденьте этот выступ отверткой и вытащите батарею. Оставьте все на 10-15 минут — без питания все настройки обнулятся, и это исправит ошибки в BIOS.
Установите батарею в материнскую плату, соблюдая полярность; сторона с надписью должна быть сверху. Подключите все устройства к системному блоку, подсоедините кабель питания. Можете включать компьютер.
