Forma is an item that is used to Polarize (change or apply a polarity to a mod slot) in Warframes, weapons, companions and Archwings. This is a crucial item which you will need a large amount of if you plan on having a well-prepared arsenal. It also has other uses such as being used when crafting other items and may be used in the expansion of your clan Dojo.

There are plenty of ways when it comes to farming Forma and other methods to which you can obtain it but these may require effort in certain ways. In order to help you get Forma for the many purposes that you may need them, we have prepared this guide for you.

How To Get Forma?

There are several ways to get Forma in Warframe. These are usually rewarded for efforts you do during specific missions and may come as rewards for another objective. Most of these will require that you do specific tasks as well but nevertheless, you can easily get a good amount of Forma if you farm and prepare.

Where To Get Forma?

Locations can be quite random when it comes to obtaining Forma. There is a chance to obtain forma on the Earth sabotage, Derelict defense and some other missions on Lua. Void Fissures can be on random maps and will allow you to receive Forma as a reward for some relics.

Other methods of obtaining Forma depend on certain actions and will be listed in this guide.

Best Ways To Farm Forma

Opening Void Relics

Opening Void Relics is a good way to get Forma as they appear on the drop table for some of the relics. These will have a good chance to reward you with a Forma blueprint. It is a good idea to participate in a squad when doing Void Fissures to give you more options at the end of the mission. This will allow you to either get good Prime parts or choose to get a Forma blueprint if one is available.

Doing missions that can be finished quickly will greatly reduce the time it takes to Farm forma. These missions would be capture, exterminate and rescue missions.

Orokin Derelict Defense

The defense mission in the Orokin Derelict provides another way to obtain Forma (blueprint) by having a chance to reward you every rotation C. This means that every 20^th wave, there will be a chance to reward you with a Forma blueprint. It is best to bring a squad to easily clear the enemies and to have Warframes that can use abilities to clear up the area.

While this does seem like a long process due to the need to do 20 waves, it can be quite fast with the right Warframe, weapons and a squad. It is still possible to farm Forma blueprints on this mission solo but it’s a good idea to try to stick with the fastest ways.

Other Ways To Get Forma

Sorties

Doing the daily Sorties will allow players to get several items as rewards. A fully built Forma is included in the reward table but this only has a 2.5% chance to be rewarded.

Invasions

Amongst the rewards of invasions, a Forma blueprint may be included amongst other items that are used for upgrading. This is a guaranteed reward once you finish the corresponding invasion that the Forma blueprint is listed as a reward for.

Nightwave

During a Nighwave, there will be numerous rewards as you increase your rank. You will receive several rewards as you progress through the Nightwave and among these rewards is a Forma Bundle collection which contains 3 already built Formas that you may use.

Lua Music Puzzle

If you are familiar with the challenges on Lua, you may have come across the Music Puzzle challenge which requires you memorize a bit before you get your just rewards. At the end of completing the Music Puzzle challenge, you may be able to obtain a Forma one of the reward containers near the puzzle.

Rare Storage Containers

In some missions that you come across; a random Rare Storage Container may have spawned. Destroying this has the chance to reward you with Forma as well as other loot that is not easily found on other missions.

Nakak (Operation: Plague Star)

During Operation: Plague Star, you will be able to obtain standing which allows you to purchase wares from Nakak in Cetus. With 3,000 standing and 5,000 Credits, you may purchase Forma from Nakak during the duration of the Operation: Plague Star event.

Purchase From Market

This may appear to be costly for some players but later on, once you have learned to farm Prime parts or other rare tradable items, you should be able to make a good amount of Platinum. Be sure not to purchase Forma one by one though and instead, aim for getting the Formal bundles to make use of the discount.

Earth Sabotage Cache

The Cervantes mission on Earth is a sabotage mission which has hidden caches in it. Upon discovering the third caches, you will be able to receive a fully built Forma (0.5%) chance or a Forma blueprint (2.0%) chance. This is quite low and should not be seen as a Forma farming method.

Rathuum Arena

The Rathuum arena missions on Sedna have a very tiny chance to reward players with Forma. It has a 0.34% chance on Nakki and 0.5% chance on Yam and Vodyanoi.

Daily Tribute

Among the rewards that you can receive for Daily Tribute, Forma is one of them and there is a small chance you will receive one upon logging in.

Final Thoughts

Forma is indeed one of the most valuable items in the game because it can unlock the potential of a Weapon, warframe, companion or Archwing. This is important for becoming a more powerful ingame and a lot of them will be required for the many equipment that you have.

Opening Void Relics is practically the best way to farm Forma blueprints due to the rate at which you can complete missions. Capture missions are the best missions for cracking open relics since you can finish them within less than 5 minutes. Not all relics will have Forma so you must make sure you farm relics if you do not have them.

Orokin Derelict Defense is viable for Forma farming but is not the most advised due to the need to do several waves. You may however, receive a lot of relics during the mission which allows you to save up on them for later on. Basically Orokin Derelict Defense can go hand in hand with doing Void Fissures.

Forma are items most commonly used as a supercharger to add, remove, or alter the Polarity of a Mod slot on equipment such as Warframes, Archwings, weapons, or Companions. This process is called Polarization and allows mod capacity to be used more efficiently.

Forma do however have additional uses. Their second most notable use is as a component in the creation of certain items, including being used in weapon blueprints, the creation of the Exilus Adapter and other supercharger equipment, and adding Tiles to a Clan Dojo. Finally, Forma may be sacrificed to rise in Syndicate ranks.

Using Forma on Equipment

To apply a Forma, go to the Arsenal and access the desired item’s Mod loadout. Select Action at the bottom of the screen, then choose Polarize, which will show all available types of Forma to choose from. Choose Forma, which will show a layout of the item’s mod slots and polarities. Click on a slot to cycle through the possible polarities. A slot that already has a polarity (either by default or from a prior polarization) can also be changed.

Forma can only be used on equipment that has already been ranked to 30 and, when used, said equipment is reset to rank 0 (unranked). However, Warframe, Archwing, and Necramech may retain abilities and/or their ranks depending on the player’s Mastery Rank; for example, a player with a Mastery Rank of 30 or higher would have all abilities unlocked at rank 3. Forma can also be used again on already polarized equipment, provided that it is leveled to 30 again. Orokin Catalysts and Orokin Reactors are unaffected by the usage of Forma. Re-leveling equipment after using Forma on it does not grant mastery points.

For each Forma used on equipment, said equipment will gain a star above the name of the equipment starting from the center.

Blueprints Requiring Forma

Notes

• Making the most of Forma means remembering the Polarities of the mods the player wishes to use. For example, weapons almost always need damage mods, such as  Serration; Serration has Madurai polarity. Therefore, it would be useful to add a Madurai polarity to any weapon that does not already have it. Consider reading the Polarization page for more information about this process.
• A Forma is required to craft nearly all Clan Research weapons, though this is most likely only for gameplay reasons as most of them don’t involve any Orokin technology.
• All syndicates require Forma to advance to Rank 2, as well as in order to become neutral if the Tenno has fallen to the first negative rank.
• A Warframe, Archwing, or weapon that has been polarized at least once can have their Secondary Energy Color customized.
• Oddly enough, players can polarize Aura mod slots with the Unairu polarity, despite there currently being no Aura mods with that polarity.
  • Similarly, players can also polarize mod slots belonging to non-melee weapons with said polarity as well.
  • For more flexibility it is possible to use an Aura Forma, which grants as a universal polarity.
• Players cannot add Umbra polarity to slots using mundane Forma. Existing Umbra polarities can be replaced with others, but after that, they can only be restored by using an Umbra Forma.

Trivia

• Forma means “shape” in a variety of languages.
• From the Scanner inside the Orbiter, one can occasionally hear a Grineer inspecting someone’s cargo and getting bribed with a Forma after he finds something suspicious.
• The prevalence of golden surfaces in Orokin Void levels and on Prime equipment may indicate the use of massive amounts of Forma in their construction. The grey surfaces in the Clan Dojo may be due to Tenno improvising with more mundane materials while copying Orokin aesthetics.
• The shape of Forma resembles that of a puzzle piece.

Год назад примерно мы на игровом форуме этот вопрос поднимали. Очень насмешил один пост игрока, который написал, что хочется получить пятый способ. И он бы все отдал, чтобы узнать новую возможность получить форму)).

Почему я говорю, что это всех насмешило? Потому что способов получить форму много! Минимум – четыре. Но, видимо, игрокам всегда хочется большего).

Начнем с первого способа.

• самое элементарное – купить ее за двадцать платин;

Второе – форму можно получить каждый день, как поощрение.

Третья возможность – отлично пройти аллерт. Форма будет в качестве бонуса).

Четвертая возможность получить форму – удачно пройти Башни Орокин. Пишут, что это самый сложный вариант, но самый приятный).

Не думайте, что это все. Пересмотрела другие ветки форума и нашла вам еще варианты.

• не пропускаем сигнал тревоги. В это время можно получить чертеж, который поможет создать карту.
• следите за золотыми контейнерами. Форма можем “вывалиться” из них.
